How to Build your High Quality List at the Lowest Cost Per Click Using Google Adwords
Posted by: | CommentsOne important part of your Internet marketing strategy may involve building a list of prospects using a pay-per-click Google AdWords campaign. The advantage of using Google AdWords is that it can produce a high quality list because it’s highly targeted and relevant. This is because it is based on the keywords that you have chosen, the advert you’ve constructed, and the ‘squeeze’ page you’ve designed.
So what are the steps to building a list using Google AdWords?
Step 1 – Conduct Keyword Research and Design Your Google Account Structure.
This stage is of major importance to your success because it helps to keep things targeted from the beginning.
Draw a circle on a piece of paper with branches coming out containing what you believe to be the most relevant main key phrases.
Use the Google Keyword Selector Tool to select a number of relevant and popular key phrases, and search for synonyms and related terms.
Use other keyword selection sites e.g. nichebot.com, wordtracker.com, and keyworddiscovery.com.
Use the Google Traffic Estimator.
Set up an ad group for each of these main key phrases and use all the variations of it your have found within each group – single, plural, hyphenated versions etc.
Step 2 – Create Your Adverts
There are only 95 characters for a Google AdWords advert, 25 for the title and 35 each for the two description lines underneath.
DO NOT USE THE CHARACTERS TO SELL. The goal is ONLY to get people to click on your advert.
In each ad, put the key phrase in the ad title so it’s in bold as research shows that click through rates are higher if the key phrase is in the advert title.
Design a kind of template advert.
Produce 3 different adverts for each variation (using the template advert), changing the order and arrangement of key phrases within it.
Track the effectiveness of each to see which one works best – TEST, MEASURE AND COMPARE.
Step 3 – Create The ‘Squeeze’ Pages
The squeeze page is the page that people are directed to when they click on your Google AdWords Advertisement. This page should be built using the same key phrases for building blocks as the Google AdWords advert that is pointing to it. Each variation within each ad group should go to a squeeze page that has been changed accordingly with regards to the key phrases – maximum relevance and targeting should be what you are looking for.
Keep the squeeze page simple and make sure that every element in the page has a reason for being there i.e. it’s helping to convert.
Prepare some kind of value-adding download or service that is FREE.
Give the page a large, attention-grabbing headline and include the word FREE.
Google could penalise you for saying something is free when it’s not, so make sure it is.
Use a sub-headline with the word FREE in it to encourage people to read further.
Add a ‘call to action’ line below this e.g. Receive your FREE gifts now by entering your name and e-mail address below.
Google may regard a simple ‘sales letter’ style page to be a scam, so include navigational links on the page e.g. links to a page which opens in a separate window, showing pictures of and giving some information about the free gifts they will receive if the follow the call to action.
Links help your ‘quality score’ with Google (which lowers your cost per click), and they have been shown to increase the chances of conversion.
Include an opt-in box (small form) asking for a name and e-mail address.
Include a ‘call to action button’ e.g. Receive my FREE gifts now.
Research has shown that the conversion rate is increased if the text on the button states exactly the action you want users to take (and the benefit of doing so) rather than just saying ‘submit’.
Add a link to a detailed privacy policy page that opens in a separate window.
Include another couple of lines below this designed to increase curiosity e.g. stating possible benefits of following the calls to action.
End with a sense of urgency i.e. make the offer time sensitive to encourage immediate conversion.
Use professional looking graphics and consider using a columnar layout because this is what Google is used to i.e. try not to make it look too much like a sales letter page.
Change and test different aspects of the page to keep increasing the page’s conversion rate.
N.B. The best possible squeeze page would be exactly customised to your key phrases, which should ensure relevancy and a better chance of conversion.
So, a high quality list can be built, and return on investment can be maximised by building Google AdWords campaigns form the keywords up. make sure relevance and targeting is high, and Google optimisation rules are adhered to in your compelling squeeze page so that the quality score will be high, and so the cost per click will be kept as low as possible.

The Clicks and Conversions in Pay Per Click Marketing
Posted by: | CommentsIn pay per click marketing, the most common intent of the business owner is to position his listing on top of SERPs, and get clicks coming from internet users. With greater clicks comes greater traffic for the website. And with greater traffic comes greater happiness. Correct, or are we missing something fundamentally important?
The keen business owner who puts his money in PPC should learn that there is more to clicks in this kind of advertising. So what is conversion and how helpful can this be in keeping you on budget and in line with your objectives?
Conversion will happen if the site visitor will take some desirable action in the website, as opposed to site visits wherein the user enters the site and leaves the website without contributing to the website.
If for example you have an online store, then the conversions that may happen in the site will involve the users making a direct purchase, the user downloading a service or the user completing the sales inquiry form. Simple visits will mean that the user enters and leaves unnoticed.
Conversion in pay per click is not restricted to getting a sale of your product on your website. Conversion may mean other actions of site visitors that are valuable to you and your business.
It is along this line that you should also think about what to expect out of your site visitors. Before engaging into pay per click, it is also wise to determine the target results that you want to get out of these online visitors. If that cannot be established, investing in PPC might not be a good idea.
Since conversion is an important aspect of marketing under pay per click, it is recommended that you track conversion. The good news is that major search engines do provide tracking tools. Google Analytics is one, and this is worth using. This tool will allow you to measure the conversions coming from pay per click sources.
Without any tracking tools, you can still monitor and assess conversions from your pay per click campaign. By using a spreadsheet, you can list the conversions in a day and determine if there has been any increase upon adoption of PPC. If none, then you might need to improve your strategy.
Truth About PPC Evolution
Posted by: | CommentsIt seems as if every month there is a new software that gets released. There is a number of Adwords management software that is available in the market. All promise to help its users maximize profits and keep their online business steadily afloat.
And that slew of program will be added with another one after a new software, PPC Evolution, will be launched later this month.
PPC Evolution is still yet to be launched but even now, theres already a lot of talk about it especially after people have started taking note of its creators. PPC Evolution is designed by Dr. Mike Woo-Ming and Brian Koz, both sought after internet marketing consultants and entrepreneurs.
Those connected with the online businesses are already aware of Dr. Woo-Ming after he launched the Lead Evolution just last year.
Users of the PPC Evolution are sure to get two characteristics of the software that will make them rake in huge returns; these are power and adaptability. With a strong tie-up with Google and awesome programming, spectators are saying that users will get their moneys worth with the software.
What the PPC Evolution does is to automatically adjust your Adwords campaign so that youre always profiting from it. If you have keywords that arent doing so well, it can decrease its traffic to cut your losses. Meanwhile, if you have keywords that are earning you a lot, the software will also increase the traffic while on autopilot.
This is explained easily with the following example: you have a keyword that costs you $500 but is only earning for you $300. What PPC Evolution does is to decrease or even pause the traffic going to that keywords. Now, say you have a keyword which still costs $500 but is earning for you $1500. PPC Evolution increases the traffic for that keyword so that you maximize your profits.
Whats even more entrancing with the PPC Evolution is that it actually includes essential information regarding the keywords: how much its costing you and how much you are actually earning. To be able to do that PPC Evolution has tied up with Google in order to access your Adwords account.
That kind of service has made a tie up with Google necessary. Although well have to test the software to really know for sure, PPC Evolution is worth taking the risk for.
Managing Keywords in a PPC Campaign
Posted by: | CommentsYou may think that once you have a PPC advertising campaign put together there is nothing left to do but collect the money. This, unfortunately, is not the case. Even after establishing your campaign there is a lot of work to do. Maintaining a successful campaign will require a lot of management of various areas. One such area is your keywords.
You will be using two different types of keywords. These are general, broad ranged keywords and the more targeted keywords.
General keywords are those that attract a large crowd of searchers for a certain topic but not necessarily a niche within that topic. For example a broad based keyword could be “home business.” This will attract a lot of searchers. However they may not be interested in your particular niche and you will get few sales or leads.
People using the niche keywords are more interested in your specific field. However, the niche keywords generally attract much less traffic. This decrease in traffic is usually offset by an increase in sales conversion.
This basic understanding of keywords will help you manage you PPC campaign. A lot of the time, a struggling campaign can be caused by poor keyword performance. You need to make sure that a keyword is not only bringing people, but also sales. Without the sales, you may as well be flushing your money down the toilet.
Make sure to keep a close watch on your keywords. By using software provided by the PPC engine, such as Google Adwords, you can track how much traffic each of you keywords is bringing to your site.
Another factor you need to look at is the conversion rate, or the number of clicks required to generate a sale. This ratio will be much lower for the broad keywords and much higher for the niche. Since you pay for each click you will need to evaluate the value of your keywords.
This sales conversion will be used to measure whether your bidding is appropriate. If you are spending more on clicks than you are making per sale you will want to consider making changes. Otherwise you are losing money, and that is the opposite effect you want your PPC campaign to have.
Another thing to consider is keyword trends. The word which people use to search for a particular topic can often change. When this happens your keywords will become more or less effective. Due to this you may need to alter bids to change positioning of those keywords.
As the trends change you may find a keyword is not pulling its own. Now however, you will be able to evaluate the keyword and make changes to fix its efficiency. If you feel a keyword is performing too poorly to be revived at this time, it is recommended that you merely put it on hold for a while instead of deleting it. Trends may swing back to a place where that keyword will work again in the future.

Google Adwords: a Pay Per Click Strategy
Posted by: | CommentsFor those who are involved in internet marketing, pay per click and Google Adwords may be familiar concepts and terms. Both had been around since their introduction in 2002 and these tools have been widely used online.
Until now, though, green apples in the online world are not so sure what Google Adwords is all about. Below we will find out what it is and what it can do for a business.
Pay per click was not first used by Google. It was conceptualize by an individual who started out Goto.com which was later known as Overture. It was later acquired by the internet company, Yahoo!
Pay per click or PPC was designed as a marketing tool that enables businesses and companies to promote their businesses online through websites. This tool allows business owners to advertise on the internet as much as they can in as many websites they want. It also makes use other strategies such as search engine optimization in obtaining traffic.
Google is earning about 16.4 billion US dollars with Adwords. It is Google’s flagship in the Pay Per Click Marketing advertising method and site targeted advertising strategies. Google uses not only advertisements through texts but also as banners.
This has provided great support for the companies who want to engage in online advertising and websites where these ads are placed. Companies and businesses who want to advertise will coordinate with Google if they want to engage in Adwords. They will then agree on the type of ad to be displayed and the rate per click that will be paid for these banners or text ads.
After everything is agreed upon, Google will then offer website owners the opportunity to earn by placing these ads on their websites. When website owners sign up, they are allowed to place these ads and banners anywhere on their website. They can also choose the size and the color depending on their site design. When these banners or ads are clicked, payment will then be taken cared of by Google.
Google is perhaps the leading company in the Pay Per Click Marketing industry. Although Google has come under fire sometime for allowing others to use copyrighted keywords, Google has extensively made progress in this marketing strategy.
PPC Marketing: What to Prioritize
Posted by: | CommentsTo get the desired benefit in using pay per click marketing, there are important things that you need to follow to make your campaign more successful.
A very important factor to consider in pay per click marketing is your budget. You should set how much amount you are going to allocate for your pay per click advertising, and how much you are willing to pay for each click of your ad. In PPC, it is wise to consider that the cost of one click should not be more than the profit you will make out of it.
Another important thing in PPC is to monitor the percentage of clicks to your site that are converted into revenue. You have to make sure also that you set measurable results of your PPC campaign that suits your business.
It is also suggested that you choose the keywords that are important and relevant that will be included in your marketing under pay per click. And the proper selection of keywords can help your site generate more attention and traffic.
It is not suggested that you focus the attention on the broad, general and the non-specific terms and keywords. This suggestion should be heeded because of the nature of the searches now, and the attitudes of internet users who use the search engine of the major websites.
Online surfers nowadays are knowledgeable and skilled in searching online, and the trend has gone from typing single keywords to very specific two to three-word searches. Most often, online searchers are using very specific keywords to generate accurate results.
Since PPC campaign can be monitored, it is suggested that once you bid on a keyword you should always monitor on how it is working to get to your target results.
Other factors that may affect the outcome of your pay per click marketing may include search patterns and behavior of online searchers. This is why it is necessary to evaluate your campaign so that you can restructure it if needed.
Tracking of your PPC listing online should also be a consideration in your pay per click marketing. Since competition in the internet is stiff, you should know your position and your rankings. This will help you determine if you need to revise your strategy.
